About

Avarly — Your smart home, from anywhere

Monitor and control your Zigbee smart home devices securely from anywhere using a cloud-connected platform that doesn't require port forwarding, VPN, or Nabu Casa. The system comprises devices around the home, a gateway that talks to these devices locally, and the Avarly cloud that gives secure access to them remotely. The gateway, which can run on a Raspberry Pi or any Linux box, bridges devices to Avarly over a secure connection, while the cloud stores history, runs automations, and relays commands without directly connecting to the hardware. The platform promotes raw signals from Zigbee devices into clean, comparable readings across every room, including temperature, humidity, air quality, and more. Users can build a customizable dashboard with drag-and-drop cards, trigger automations based on device state or time of day, and view time-series charts for numeric sensors. Control is also a key feature, allowing users to flip smart plugs, switch lamps, and act on what they see securely through their gateway. Avarly's pricing is simple and per location, with a Starter tier for small setups and higher tiers that add more devices, Zigbee networks, longer history, more members, and automations. Each subscription covers one location, and users can add more locations as separate subscriptions. The platform is accessible from any browser, and a 7-day Pro trial is available with no credit card required. Future developments include security and alarming features, Z-Wave support, and a mobile app.
