About

Slap2Actions — Slap your Mac. Trigger anything.

Slap your MacBook to trigger various actions. The Slap2Actions macOS menu bar app detects physical slaps and USB events, then instantly triggers actions like panic mode, sound playback, or script execution. The app requires Apple Silicon and macOS 14 or later. When a slap is detected, it can instantly hide all windows and mute audio, or play one of its 50+ built-in sound clips across 10 sound packs, with volume scaling according to the force of the slap. Users can adjust the sensitivity of the slap detection, ranging from an "earthquake detector" to requiring a "full commitment" slap. The app also supports running any shell command or AppleScript on slap, allowing for automation. Additionally, plugging or unplugging a USB device can trigger actions. The app reads raw data from the built-in accelerometer and does not modify system files or hardware firmware. Currently, the app is available at half price for a limited time. Users can try the app before purchasing, but there are no refunds for breaking their MacBook by slapping too hard.
